Starseed's in a little detail

Starseed is a somewhat problematic word. For years it has been used to sweep away what is Autism. It became an excuse for people who chose to ignore the struggles of their child, this also has a number of reasons behind it. At that time the stigma of autism was horrendous, and still is today, Whilst the doors are opening for understanding autism and how we can do our best to support there are those of todays younger generation who are being spoon fed this absolute bullshit. Basically, the term Starseed is new age toxicity and here is why,

Brad Steiger authored a book called Aquarius in 1976 in which he brought forward a theory of aliens being reincarnated into human bodies and humans were extra-terrestrials when they first arrived here. So, lets take a look at that theory. For years it is claimed that many things on earth were the result of aliens such as the pyramids for a popular example, even Aztec temples. It completely disregards the human effort and pain staking slavery, harm and other outrages that went into building them. It is widely documented that people built them and that is established fact. On the basis that not everyone is a Starseed where does that leave a human being? It could be construed as an erasure of past struggles from various races and civilisations.

The belief in alien races in my view isn’t too absurd. It's entirely possible life elsewhere exists so ask yourself this. Aliens have the capacity to see or visit us here meaning they have technology beyond our means. They have probably encountered many other life forms on the way so why us? We cant even get along with each other and you know that people would loose their collective shit if one appeared in our midst.

Moving on to the “signs you are a Starseed”. A quick google search did not disappoint so let's address those.

Longing for the stars – This planet is a shit show. We all want to stop this ride and get off. A cost-of-living crisis, corruption, ware, famine disease…. Wouldn’t you want to leave as well? I have spent many nights gazing up at the stars and thinking how calm they are by comparison of today’s planetary standards. It’s a yearning for something better, something to get away from.

Behavior Patterns out of the norm – This is where the autism comes into play. The traits defined by Starseed, and autism are perilously close so let's list a few. It's by no means exhaustive and remember each person will define autism differently.

Anti-social – Starseed will claim that it's because they want to be with their own kind aka aliens. Being anti-social is also an autistic trait.

Having sensory issues – Starseeds will claim that its because they have issues functioning on a different planet because it’s an out of the home world experience. Autistic people may show these traits because of simply how their brain is wired.

Feeling like you don’t belong – Starseed's will say it's you not fitting in on planet earth. People on the spectrum may feel this way, as will a lot of other people. Perhaps they simply are not a social butterfly, maybe there’s even a completely unrelated mental illness at play.

Being Intuitive – Starseed's will say it's because you have a direct line to the akashic records and are also inherently telepathic with others. As practitioners that’s a part of what we do as do those who are keen divinators. I have also noted those on the spectrum are just good at reading people.

This is but a few examples of these lists of “10 signs you’re a Starseed”. I would also like to point out that theories in the way these aliens became a human being, is the result of genetic splicing in order to squeeze poor little E.T inside as well. So, by extension this can also be quite insulting. It is quite literally implying you are genetically imperfect as a human being, and we all know how well that rhetoric goes down. I have attached an article which I found very interesting in reference to the racism attached to the terms Starseed. It sums up a lot of what I would like to say. I would also like to give a reference to Starseed theory being highly appropriative of Native American culture. Its is not my place to tell you these stories. There are however various teaching in regard to the stars, and many tales that are based in the stars. That you will have to find yourself.
